PEGGY LYNN MARTIN WALL

Funeral for Peggy Lynn Martin Wall, 56, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home chapel in Athens with the Rev. M. Rhett Ansley officiating. Burial will be in Trinidad Cemetery.

Mrs. Wall was born Sept. 23, 1950, in Athens to the late Coy Dale and Johnnie Belle Bradley Martin. She graduated from Rusk High School in 1968, where she was drum major. She attended Trinity Valley Community College, where she was a Cardette and met her husband, Bruce Ray Wall. They married Feb. 7, 1970, in Rusk. She transferred to Tarleton State University, graduating with a teaching degree in 1975. She taught business at Mabank High School from 1985-91 and special education at Athens High school from 1998-2004. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors are her husband, Bruce Wall; a son, Austin Wall and his wife, Alexandria Albright of Palestine; a daughter, Alexandra Gilmore and her husband, Elliott of Athens; a granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth Wall; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Martin and Michael Elliott of Papillion, Neb.; an aunt and nieces and nephews, Jonathan and Adam Stockstill of Nebraska, Jennifer and John Peters and Aaron Dipboye of Oklahoma and other relatives in Texas, Wyoming, New York City and London, England. Pallbearers will be Larry Moody, Mark Lundy, Jim Henderson, Bob Davis, Ronnie McElroy and Bobby Rounsavall. Nieces and nephews will be honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 1301 S. Broadway, Tyler 75701.
