Opal I. Thompson
Graveside services for Opal I. Thompson, 95, of Tyler, formerly of
the Corinth Community near Jacksonville are scheduled for 4:00 p.m.,
Tues. September 4, 2007 at Jarratt Cemetery with Rev. James Blaylock
officiating, under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thompson died September 1, 2007 in Tyler. She was born January 8,
1912 in Dialville. Mrs. Thompson worked 30 years at Marja Brassiere Co.
and worked at Henson-Kickernick.
She was a member of Corinth Rd. Baptist Church.
Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her husband, Frazier Thompson,
daughter, Norma Cupp and two granddaughters, Laurie Ann Thompson and
Sarah Kathryn Thompson.
She is survived by Ted Thompson and wife Carol of Tyler; grandchildren,
Don Cupp of Tyler, Jean Cupp of Hartley, Traci Wilson of Conway, AR.,
Lisa Dodd and husband Greg of Rockton, Ill.; and great grandchildren,
Caroline Dodd, Alex Dodd, Colin Dodd and Kylie Dodd all of Rockton,
Ill., Will Wilson on Conway, AR., Kayla Wilson of Hot Springs, AR.,
Andrew Waldson of Arlington and Angie Gallaway and husband Jonathan of
Fort Worth; great-great grandson Peyton Chandler Gallaway of Fort Worth
and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Corinth Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held today, Tues. Sept. 4, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to
3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside service for Opal I. Thompson, 95, of Tyler, formerly of the
