RAYMOND POOLE
 

Funeral for Raymond Poole, 56, of Alto was at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sweet Union Baptist Church. Burial was in Sweet Union Cemetery. Mr. Poole died Tuesday. He was born Nov. 16, 1950, in Cleveland to A.C. and Odell Whitaker Poole. He lived all of his life in Alto and was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a Booker T. Washington High School graduate and a logger. He was preceded in death by his mother, Odell Poole and a brother James Poole.

Survivors are his father and step-mother, A.C. and Justine Poole of Alto; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Randall Ray and LaShawna Poole, Tristan Poole and Raymond Poole Jr., all of Alto; two daughters, Ashley Poole and Raeanne Poole, both of Alto; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Archie and Alifaye Poole of Woodville, A.C. Jr. and Angelia Poole of Houston, Jessie and Delonda Poole of Jacksonville and Keith and Bakaya Poole of Alto; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Clarence Poole of Lufkin, Joyce and Alfred Davis of Smithville, Wilma and Jessie Johnson of Cleveland, Vanessa and Curtis Thacker of Alto, Marsha and Brian Ross of Lufkin and Arleen and Larry Lacy of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Raymond III, Alexis, Zechariah and Jacob and nieces and nephews.

O.T. Allen & Son was in charge of arrangements.
