DANNY JOE (JOEY) NICHOLS
Funeral for Danny Joe (Joey) Nichols, 37, of Nacogdoches, formerly of
Alto was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at the Atoy United Methodist
Church with the Rev. Clint Johnson and the Rev. Jason Thomas
officiating. Burial was in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Mr. Nichols died Sept. 25. He was born March 26, 1970, in Jacksonville to Danny J. and Shirley Mason Nichols. He had lived in Nacogdoches for approximately 15 years. He previously resided in Balch Springs and Alto. He was a graduate of West Mesquite High School and had a masters degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.
He had taught in the Nacogdoches ISD and recently was an online professor. He was a Baptist. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Leverett and Laura Mason and S.M. Nichols.
Survivors are his parents, Danny and Shirley Nichols of Balch Springs; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael Jason (Jake) and Jeanette Nichols of Nacogdoches; his grandmother, Sue Nichols of Balch Springs; a nephews, Mason Nichols; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Brian Mason, Ronnie Nichols, Billy Nichols, Ryan Nichols, Chuck Marrs and Audie Allen.
