Services for Jewel McGaha, 93, of Jacksonville, will be 2 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at Sweet Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. William
Earl Franklin officiating. Burial will be at Jacksonville City Cemetery,
under the direction of Williams Funeral Home.
Mrs. McGaha died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, in Jacksonville. She was born
June 8, 1914, in Cherokee County. She attended Green Chapel Public
School and Rock Hill Baptist Church of Cuney.

JEWEL MCGAHA
Funeral for Jewel McGaha, 93, of Jacksonville was at 2 p.m. Sunday at
the Sweet Union Baptist Church with the Rev. William Earl Franklin
officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery.
Mrs. McGaha died Aug. 1. She was born June 8, 1914, in Cherokee County. She was a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church at Cuney.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert L. McGaha; a daughter; a son; her parents; three sisters and four brothers.
Survivors are a son, Louis Franklin of Jacksonville; three daughters, Burnestine McGaha and Dorris Andrews, both of Dallas and Nadine Hinton of Jacksonville; a sister, Clara Brown of Neches; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Donald Cready, Billy Ray Johnson, Thomas Reed, Steve Johnson, Craig McGaha, Michael Johnson, Munir Al-Tahanterry Mc- Gaha and Goffery Bowens.
Honorary pallbearers were Sedric Franklin, Travis Thompson and Stanley Franklin.
Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
