Ron Lowrance

Funeral for Ron Lowrance, 63, of Troup, was at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at the Troup Church of Christ with Nolan Kennedy, Dr. Jay Lockhart, and Ka'Sime Davenport officiating. Burial was in Pinecrest Cemetery at Troup.

Mr. Lowrance died Tuesday, July 31. He was born Feb. 22, 1944, in Henderson, to the late Ralph and Florene Turner Lowrance. He had been a resident of Troup for the past 10 years.

He was a graduate of John Tyler High School and Abilene Christian University.

Mr. Lowrance was presently serving as the minister for the Alto Church of Christ. He had also served numerous other churches throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

Survivors are his wife of 12 years, Janelle Ritchie Lowrance of Troup; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kimberly Lowrance Fuller and Kevin Fuller of Tyler and Amanda Lowrance of Alamosa, Colo.; a son, Stephen Lowrance, Alamosa, Colo.; three stepsons and two step-daughtersin law, Dr. Marcom Herren and April Herren of Wichita Falls, Eric Ritchie Herren and Rhonda Herren of Katy and Ashley Hembree of Troup; a brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Donna Lowrance of Tyler; his mother-in-law, Mary Ethel Ritchie of Troup; eight grandchildren, Michael Fuller, Steven Fuller, Jennifer Herren, Rachel Herren, Parker Herren, Jessica Herren, Emily Herren and Haden Herren; two nephews, Michael Lowrance and Jon Lowrance; and numerous other nieces, nephews.

Pallbearers were Dr. Marcom Herren, Eric Herren, Ashley Hembree, Steven Fuller, Craig Dickey, David Dickey, Jon Lowrance and Michael Lowrance.
