DEBBIE LEWIS

Debbie Lewis, 47, of San Francisco, Calif., formerly of Rusk died July 13. She was born in Pampa Sept. 17, 1959, to Missionary Eurilene Sturns.

She was reared in California by adopted parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Lewis. She moved back to Rusk in July 2004 to reunite with her family.

While living in Rusk, she was employed as a teacher's aide at Rusk Junior High School working with special education students.

She returned to California during a brief period of illness.

Preceding her in death were her siblings, Eddie and Charles Sturns and adopted father, Chester Lewis.

Survivors are her mother and step-father, Missionary Eurilene and Raymond Sturns; adopted mother, Parphenia Lewis of California; a daughter, Taifha Edwards of San Francisco; two sons, Demetrius Edwards of Rusk and Thomas Anderson of California; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Darrell and Nell Sturns, Oliver and Sonya Sturns, Patrick Sturns, all of Rusk and Michael Sturns of Reklaw; eight sisters and five brothers-in-law, Joy and John Cook and Marion Tudmon and Joel Bowden, Sharhonda Sturns of Rusk, Doris and Charles Cross of Jacksonville, Deloris and Richard Miller of Frankston, Vickie Anderson of Lufkin, Angela and Norvel Boykins of Cuney, Martha and Rev. Joe Robinson of Wichita Falls; three grandchildren; her grandmother, Darcus Samson of Henderson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services are pending at Duggan Funeral Home, 3434 17th St. San Francisco, Calif. 94110.
