Helen Holland Kelsay

Funeral services for Helen Holland Kelsay, 95, of Jacksonville, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville, with Phil Smith, Jack Holland, and Vicki Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Jacksonville.

Mrs. Kelsay died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 in Pittsburg, Texas. She was born May 4, 1912 in El Paso. She was a homemaker and member of Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville.

Mrs. Kelsay was a charter member of Thaddeus Beall Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Jacksonville Garden Club, Embroidery Guild, and graduate of Okenobo O’Hara School of Japanese Flower Arranging.

She was preceded in death by her husband Col. J. D. Kelsay whom she married in 1936. Survivors include son Andrew Jack Kelsay and wife Marion of Winnsboro; one granddaughter, Jana S. Stephenson of Midlothian, Virginia; four great grandchildren; two step grandchildren Vincent Cremeans of Carrollton and Leanne Cremeans of Emory; niece Jan Salvato of South Carolina and many loved cousins.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are Jack Holland, Bill DeWeese, Max Odom, Jack Kelsay, Vincent Cremeans, Ben Sage, Bill Ingram, and Wade Stephenson.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007 at Thompson Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
