EARNEST G. HANVY

Funeral for Earnest G. Hanvy, 84, of Livingston, was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Pace Funeral Home with Lindell Mitchell officiating. Burial was at 1 p.m. in Brookside Memorial Park in Houston.

Mr. Hanvy died Sept. 6. He was born Jan. 24, 1924, in Alto. He lived in Houston until he retired in 1980 from Metropolitan Transit Authority after 32 years. He was a World War II veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents, David F. and Suzy Hanvy; a son, Allen Hanvy; seven brothers and one sister.

Survivors are his wife, Pauline; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lois Wilson, Chris and Greg Van Note; six grandchildren, Jeff Wilson and wife, Ginger, Pam McDaniel, Susan McDaniel, Jennifer McDaniel, Joe Allen Hanvy and Debbie Hanvy; 12 great-grandchildren.
