MARY KATHERINE GOLD

Funeral for Mary Katherine Gold, 81, of Dickinson, formerly of Rusk was at 2 p.m. Sunday at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Coy Hicks officiating. Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery. A memorial service is planned for later in the Houston Clear Lake area.

Mrs. Gold died Thursday in League City. She was born July 8, 1926, in Rusk to William and Jewel Goolsbee Sutton. She was reared in Rusk and graduated from Rusk High school. She lived in the Houston area for many years. She worked for many years as a dental assistant. Preceding her in death was a son, Marshall Gold and a brother, Bill Sutton.

Survivors are two daughters, Marilyn Curtiss of Dickinson and Teresa Steward of Dallas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Cynthia White of Houston and Joe and Sherry Gold of Kingwood; a brother, Paul Sutton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Pauline and Clyde Vaughn of Rusk and Hattie Nelson of Houston; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Grandsons and nephews were pallbearers.
