Annie Myrle Dicus 5/11/1914 -3/4/2008

 Annie Myrle Freeman Dicus of Kaufman, Texas, formerly of Frankston and Jacksonville, Texas, passed away on March 4, 2008 at Sunflower Park Nursing Home in Kaufman.

She was born May 11, 1914 in Frankston, Anderson County, Texas. She had lived in Kaufman since 1995. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church, Kaufman, Texas.  She was a retired seamstress beginning her career in WWII making Army Tents. After her retirement she was the Baby Sitter for the Swanson and Autry Families of Jacksonville.

Preceded in death by her husband: Buford L. Dicus, four brothers: Eugene, Dan, Tommy and Frank Freeman, one sister: Floreed E Kimbrough. One great-grandson: Ikaika Thomas.

She is survived by one son; Albert L. & Lorna Dicus, Honolulu, Hawaii; one daughter, Louise & Danny Hazelip, Scurry,Tx.; two brothers; Jesse Milburn Freeman, Springtown, Texas, T.D. Freeman, Houston, Texas, five grandsons; one granddaughter; six great-grandsons, four great-granddaughters, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home, Kaufman, Texas on Friday, March 7, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Graveside services: March 8, 2008 at Olive Branch Cemetery, Brushy Creek, Texas at 2:00 PM with Rev. G.C. Folmar officiating under the direction of Autry Funeral Home of Jacksonville, TX.

ANNIE MYRLE FREEMAN DICUS

Annie Myrle Freeman Dicus of Kaufman, formerly of Jacksonville, died March 4. She was born May 11, 1914, in Frankston and had lived in Kaufman since 1995.

She was a member of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Kaufman. She was a retired seamstress beginning her career in World War II making Army tents. After her retirement she was the baby sitter for the Swanson and Autry families of Jacksonville.

Survivors are a son and a daughter-in-law, Albert L. and Lorna Dicus, of Honolulu, Hawaii; one daughter, Louise and Danny Hazelip of Scurry; two brothers, Jesse Milburn Freeman of Springtown and T.D. Freeman of Houston; five grandsons; one granddaughter; six great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. March 8 at Olive Branch Cemetery at Brushy Creek with the Rev. G.C. Folmar officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.
