Sybil Vaughan Dickey of Bullard passed away on January 31, in Dallas after a lengthy illness. She was born January 28, 1946 to Verdell & Lois Vaughan. Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, February 3 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel, with Dan Manuel, Donnie Barron, and Glen Cogburn officiating, burial will follow in Bullard Cemetery.
Mrs. Dickey was employed at Joe Wright Elementary School in Jacksonville for 13 years. She was an active member of Ponta Church of Christ, and was an avid supporter of the Walk for Life.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Dickey, Bullard; one son & daughter-in-law, Craig & Brenda Dickey, Troup; three grandchildren, Kaleb, Tyler & McClane Dickey, Troup; brothers & sisters-in-law, Connie & Karen Vaughan, Bullard & Freddie & Tammy Vaughan, Troup; one sister & brother-in-law, Sallye & Terry Cowan, Bullard; and several nieces and nephews. Also her extended family, Sara & Lamar Slover, Laura & Sarah Dupree, Chance & Charlie Moore, & Mason & Taylor Fredrick, and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jackie Slover, Scott Moore, Wade Fredricks, Doug Dupree, Charles Ray & Gary Tipton. Honorary pallbearers are Wilson Folden & Jim Franklin.
Visitation will begin on Friday, February 2, with family receiving friends from 4 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home.
