Tim Dement

Services for Tim Dement, 41, of Rusk, will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Rusk with Pastor RS Dyess officiating, under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home of Rusk. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery.

Mr. Dement died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, in Gregg County.

He was a life-time resident of Rusk and the surrounding areas. He was a Methodist and graduated from Rusk High School in 1983. He was employed of nine years by the JW Williams division of Flint Energy Services, Inc. of White Oak.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Tracy; daughter, Jimmie Lynn and son, Kolt of Rusk; father and step-mother, Charles and Carol Dement of Rusk; mother, Billie Ready of Rusk, brother, Harold Dement and wife Debbie of Gallatin; sister, Stacey Sloan and husband, Mike of Cleburne; step-sister, Cheryl Kaye Maveety and husband, Bo of Jamesville, Wis.; step-brother, Bobbie Carl Barkley of Des Moines, Iowa and step-sister, Christie Lee Cook of Rusk; seven nephews, seven nieces; and one great niece. His father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Charlene Graham of Rusk; grandparents, Rubin and Elan Dement and Dual and Flossie Self preceded him in death.

Pallbearers include Ricky Sibley, Allen Sibley, Bill McKnight, Phil McKnight, Rocky Lankford, Jeff Baldwin, Rowdy Graham, Brian McDonald, Cooper Graham, Britt Clay, Brandon Dement, Neil Castor-Sloan, Zeke Sloan and Mathew Self. Honorary pallbearers include Louis Eckerdt, Wesley Mahone, Jake Williams, Pete Crisler, Jody Hester and employees of Flint Energy Services, Inc. and numerous friends.

He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. He had a passion for the outdoors.
