JIM CRANSTON
Private graveside service for James (Jim) Cranston, 82, of Dialville was
at Rocky Springs Cemetery with Robby Arington officiating.
Mr. Cranston died Sept. 25, 2007. He was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Los Angeles, Calif., a retired nurse and a member of the Corinth Road Church of Christ in Jacksonville. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received a Purple Heart.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Willie Mae (Bill) Cranston.
Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Sidney Cranston of Franklin; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and E.C. Blount of Jacksonville; two sisters, Dorothy Fowler and Margarite and Troy Carter, all of Angleton; two grandchildren and a granddaughter-in-law, Jeremy James and Lacy Cranston of Lexington and Lucy Blount of Jacksonville; three great-grandchildren, Jordon Cranston, Jazmine Cranston and Jaylee Cranston, all of Lexington; several nieces and nephews.
Thompson Funeral Home was in charge.
