Inez Baker Chandler

Graveside services for Inez Baker Chandler, 89, of Jacksonville, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville with Pastor Donald Chandler officiating, under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Jacksonville.

Mrs. Chandler went to heaven Jan. 28, 2007. She died at a Jacksonville nursing home. She was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Turney.

She was a retired LVN with 25 years of service at Nan Travis Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. She was a member of Craft Baptist Church and was the oldest living member.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Eldon Chandler; son, Sammy Wayne Chandler; and great-granddaughter, Marah Shea Goodson.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Neli Chandler of Jacksonville; daughters, Molly Morris of Jacksonville and Sally Breedlove of Ramseur, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Earlene Chandler of Gallatin; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., today at the funeral home.
