ALBERT JOE BYRD
 

Memorial services for Albert Joe Byrd, 73, of Rusk will be held at a later date. Mr. Byrd died Oct. 3, 2007. He was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Henderson to the late Lee Ellington and Virginia Hilligas Byrd. He was a resident of Rusk for 18 years, formerly of Redondo Beach, Calif. He was Baptist and retired from Wal-Mart in Jacksonville where he worked in the garden center. Preceding him in death were his wife, Neita Byrd and daughter Vineita Byrd.

He is survived by two sons, Howard Byrd of Rusk, Leonard Byrd of Redondo Beach, Calif.,; a brother, Raymond Byrd of Salisaw, Okla,: two grandsons, Joey Kitchen and wife Heather of Tyler and Joshua Lee Albert Byrd of Rusk; and numerous nieces and nephews.
