G. T. Boyd

Funeral services for G. T. Boyd, 77, of Jacksonville, will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Greater New Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Walls officiating. Burial will be held at Jacksonville City Cemetery, under the direction of Community Funeral Home of Jacksonville.

Mr. Boyd died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Twin Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 30, 1930, in Jacksonville. He attended Pleasant View Community schools and Greater New Zion Baptist Church. He worked at Bolton Brothers Lumber.

The wake will be 6-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, with a public viewing will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the funeral home.
