CHARLENE MCEWIN BELCHER
Funeral for Charlene McEwin Belcher, 86, of Jacksonville was at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rising Star Baptist Church with the Rev. James Peoples, the Rev. Steve Lawson and Dr. Milton Parson officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Belcher died July 2. She was born April 3, 1921, in Jacksonville. She was a graduate of Fred Douglas High School and Tyler Beauty School and a member of Rising Star Baptist Church.
Survivors are a grandson, Michael C. Boyd of Center; three granddaughters, Helenia Scott and Tonya Boyd of Tyler and Kolanda Johnson of Longview; a brother, Fleming McEwin Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Helen Tilley of Jacksonville; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Williams, Kenyon Tilley, Michael Tilley, Leonard Tenner, Michael Reed and Brian Boyd. Williams Funeral Home was in charge.
