ELSIE FAYE BALLEW
Funeral for Elsie Faye Ballew, 66 of Rusk was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 in the Wallace Thompson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Ballew died Dec. 1. She was born July 2, 1942, in Rusk. She was a lifelong Rusk resident and a member of Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Ballew retired from Oak Park Care Center after many years as a dietician.
Preceding her in death were her father, Doyle L. (Bob) Langston; and a brother, C.W. Langston.
She is survived by her mother, Mary (Sis) Langston of Rusk; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scotty and Tina Benge of Rusk and Randy and Kim Benge of New Summerfield; three daughters and sons-in-law, Renda and Edwin Ballew of Rusk, Kelly and Tommy Ford of Rusk and Connie and James Justice of Jacksonville; a brother, Carlton (Buddy) Langston of Rusk; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers were Harold Ray Langston, Robert Lee Langston, Jimmy Watson, Chris Ford, Danny Mainer and Stephen Ford.
Honorary pallbearers were Roy Beard and G.W. Surginer.
