MARY EVELYN ARNOLD

Funeral for Mary Evelyn Arnold, 81, of Alto was at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Alto First Baptist Church with the Rev. Kirby Hill officiating.

Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at Nacogdoches.

Mrs. Arnold died Oct. 24, 2007. She was born Jan.7, 1926, in Booneville, Ark. to Dan and Mae Blythe.

She lived most of her life in Angleton and later in Applebee. She had resided in Alto for 15 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Chuck Arnold; and six brothers and sisters.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Vicky Arnold of Derby, Iowa; a daughter, Sharon Reid of Alto; a sister, Genelle Trowbridge of Booneville, Ark.; grandchildren, Shana, Shane, Shylo and Charley; and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Mobley, Nicky Wallace, John Spoon, Aubrey Sturrock, Al Lemon and Jeff Wheeler. Shots Reid was honorary pallbearer. O.T. Allen & Son was in charge of arrangements.
