MADELINE ARMSTRONG
Funeral for Madeline Armstrong, 88, of Alto was at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the
Hilltop Baptist Church with the Rev. Josh Lindsey officiating. Burial
was in Harrison-Armstrong Cemetery.
Mrs. Armstrong died Saturday. She was born Feb. 3, 1919, in the Lynches Chapel community to Lester and Esther Butler Burson. She lived in Alto all of her life and was a homemaker and a charter member of the Hilltop Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malone W. Armstrong Jr.
Survivors are two daughters and a son-in-law, Evelyn Molandes of Nacogdoches and Charlotte and Tommy Perdue of Alto; grandchildren, Scott Molandes, Jody Molandes, Amanda McCarty and Debbie McCartney; great-grandchildren, Matthew Molandes, Maci Molandes, Garrett Molandes, Maverick Molandes, Hannah Molandes, Chandler McCarty and Cade McCarty.
Pallbearers were Matthew Molandes, Scott Molandes, Jody Molandes, Ty McCarty, Steve McCarty and Billy Grimes. O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
