Andrew Jackson “Jack” Scritchfield
Funeral services for Andrew Jackson “Jack” Scritchfield will be held at
2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Hallum
officiating.
Burial will be in Neches Cemetery under the direction of Autry Funeral
Home.
Mr. Scritchfield died Sunday, April 22, 2007 in Jacksonville.
He was born October 15, 1921 in Frankston, Texas.
He was a retired truck driver for Red Ball after 35 years and was a
member of Afton Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wives Ruth Rebecca Scritchfield and
Adlene Scritchfield; daughter Bettye Anne Scritchfield and granddaughter
Gine Renee Mcbride.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Becky and Ocie McBride of
Houston; daughter Melba Jane Scritchfield of Lufkin; brother James Earl
Scritchfield of Henderson; two grandchildren, Dana Simmons and Jody
McBride and extended family members Mike Champion, Tressie Schindler,
Michael Champion, Brandon Champion, Daniel Champion, Chanda Lemmon,
Wendy Hughes, Emily Hughes, Holly Lemmon, Lance Champion and Trevor
Champion.
Pallbearers will be Keith Bristow, Wayne Bristow, George Bennett, Mark
Bannett, Bill Bennett, Michael Champion, Brandon Champion and Kevin
Simmons.
Honorary pallbearers are men of the Afton Grove Baptist Sunday School
Class III.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2007 at the funeral home.
