Funeral for Bernice Ray, 85, of Bullard, was at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bullard Church of Christ with Glen Cogburn and Brent Duncan officiating. Burial was in Bullard Cemetery. Mrs. Ray died April 10, 2007. She was born March 2, 1922, in Larue. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bullard Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her husband, C.W. (Buddy) Ray; her parents, Eugene Lofton and Alice Butler Harris; and three sisters, Sarah Foster, Clementine Patterson and Mary Alice Adams.
Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Beverly Ray of Bullard; a daughter, Linda E. Ray of Bullard; two grandsons, Clint Ray and Cliff Ray, both of Bullard; five brothers, Eugene Harris, Charles Harris, Jack Harris and Arlin Harris, all of Bullard and Thomas Harris of Mixon; four sisters, Martha Spears of Bullard, Zane Langley of Jacksonville, Nellie Hathaway of New Boston and Elizabeth Ray of Troup; and caregiver, Gloria Goforth of Flint,
Pallbearers were David Adams, Tommy Hunt, Tony Foster, Chet Foster Mohammad Rezaei, Bruce Stripling, Kevin Spears and Freddie Vaughan. Honorary pallbearers were Cliff Ray, Clint Ray, Dale Ray, Connie Vaughan, Randy Marion, Terry Cowan, Louis Dickey, Stan Harris and Doug Dupree.
