Funeral for Ara Pearman, 96, of Alto will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hilltop Baptist Church with the Rev. Bud Bonner and the Rev. Josh Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Jacksonville. Mrs. Pearman died Monday. She was born Jan. 12, 1911, in Rusk to Cleveland and Lucy Cribbs Halbert.

She was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church. She was owner and operator of Pearman Chevrolet with her husband for 60 years. She was active in the Forest Hills Historical Re-enactment.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Tracie Pearman; son, Tracie D. Pearman; sister, Sally Mertz and brother, Joe Halbert.
Survivors are several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Harold Parker, Gene Babin, Jimmy Murphy, Steve McCarty, Elvin Peacock, Bailey Marshall, George Shirley and Nathaniel Buckingham. Memorials may be made to Hilltop Baptist Church.
