ELIZABETH "LIZ" CURL SADLER

Funeral for Elizabeth (Liz) Curl Sadler of Jacksonville was at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Faulk Landrum, the Rev. Dr. Tony Cleaver and the Rev. Kevin King officiating. Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery.

She and her late husband, Monk Sadler owned and operated Sadler's Restaurant for 36 years. Mrs. Sadler was an avid golfer, played duplicate bridge and enjoyed many years singing in the chancel choir at First United Methodist Church where she was a member.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Elton F. (Monk) Sadler; grandson, Keith Loftin; and great-grandson, Michael Trotter.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law; Robert and Sheila Sadler, daughters and sons-in-law; Jan and Doug Gowin, Gerry and Connie Stovall and Susan Sadler May, seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, Shirley Davis, Ruby Hinton, Imogene Adams and Brenda Starling.

Pallbearers were Robert J. Gowin, Kenneth Loftin, Brian D. Gowin, Ryan Sadler, Toby Gowin, Kirk Sadler, Tony Harrison and Lindy Nichols.
