Louise S. McMinn

Funeral services for Louise S. McMinn, age 81, of Rusk are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2007 in the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Copeland officiating.

Burial will be in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.

Mrs. McMinn died May 9, 2007 in a Jacksonville hospital.

She was born November 8, 1925 in Columbia, Mississippi to the late Errol and Dorothy Smith.

She was a Rusk resident for twelve years formerly of New Orleans, LA. She had also lived in Woodbridge, NJ and Tuscaloosa, AL. She was a Baptist. She had a diverse work record ranging from school administration to comptroller of a major magazine producer.

She is preceded in death by her son Jan Branton McMinn.

She is survived by her husband of thirty nine years, J.B. “Bill” McMinn of Rusk, son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Tracee McMinn of Odessa, TX one grandson, Hunter McMinn of Odessa, TX and one granddaughter, Jessica K. McMinn of Tampa, FL.

Pallbearers will include Dan West, Wayne Josey, Robert E. McMinn, and William Vaughn.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2007 at the funeral home.
