JOE LEAVINS

Funeral for Joe Leavins, 90, of Jacksonville, was at 2 p.m. Monday at Autry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. A.B. Keating and the Rev. W.E. Shiflett officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Leavins died June 28. He was born April 17, 1917, in Tuscaloosa, Okla. He was a contractor, member of the New Life Church and Veteran of Foreign Wars in Jacksonville. Preceding him in death were his wife, Marie Leavins; daughter, Annette Paredes; and son, Ray Leavins.

Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Joyce Leavins of Anna, La. and James and Avis Leavins of Jacksonville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mickie and Donald Guinn of Jacksonville and Sheila and Gary Nugent of Centerpoint, La.; 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were William Baum, Bryan Howell, James Leavins Jr., Danon Pate, Steven Norton and Harold Stem.

Honorary pallbearers were Pete Young, Cecil Rawlinson, Archie Baum, Carl Baum and G.A. Baum.
