ALLINDRA BICE HARROD
Graveside service for Bettie Allindra Bice Harrod, 94, of Lufkin was Friday, Nov. 28 at Lynches Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Blackie Cranford officiating.
Mrs. Harrod was born May 29, 1914, in Alto, to the late Delia Shochler and Byrd Bice. She died Sunday, Nov. 23.
A former resident of Alto, Mrs. Harrod had resided in Lufkin for four years. She was an accountant, a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rusk-Alto Chapter Number 79, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Alto.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harrod was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Harrod; brothers, Herman Bice and Arlie Bice; and sisters, Lurah Smith and Olvie White.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Felix Johnson of Lufkin; grandchildren, Marvin Johnson of Liberty Hill, Diane Garcia of San Antonio and James Johnson of Lufkin; two great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Ali Faye Lane of Lufkin; a brother, Herdis Bice of Alto; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 235 East San Antonio Street, Alto, 75925. Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home was in charge.
