Ed Hall
Funeral services for Ed Hall, age, 79, of Rusk are scheduled for 2 p.m.,
Thursday, July 19, 2007 in Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Don Copeland and Rev. Odis Bryan officiating. Interment will be in
Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home
in Rusk.
Mr. Hall died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in a Jacksonville hospital. He was
born November 5, 1927 in Fort Worth to the late Leslie Thomas and Jessie
Netivie Hall.
He was a resident of Rusk for 13 years and formerly lived in Houston and
Fort Worth. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a
member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Rusk. He retired from
commercial refrigeration.
He is preceded in death by a son, Leslie Thomas Hall and stepson, Danny
Reed; sisters, Vera Francis Hall and Doris Jene Smith Hall and nephew,
John Wesley Smith. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Betty Hall of
Rusk; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Eddie and Lynn Hall of Houston,
Steven Hall of Fort Worth; step son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Janis
Reed of Palestine; niece, Carlene Jenkins of Mineral Wells; eight step
grandchildren, and two step great grandsons.
Pallbearers will include Chris Reed, Jeff Reed, Daniel Reed, Travis
Reed, Eddie Hall, and Charlie Cornelius.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at
the funeral home.
