EPIFANIO "JOSE" GARCIA

 

Funeral services for Epifanio (Jose) Garcia, 37, of New Summerfield was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in New Summerfield with Father Jose Cortez officiating. Burial was in Union Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Garcia died Dec. 22. He was born June 28, 1971, in Guanajuato, Mexico to Federico Garcia and Herlinda Moya.

Mr. Garcia was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in New Summerfield and was a truck driver for United Tanks.

He was preceded in death by his brother Gabriel Garcia.

Survivors are his wife, Alicia Garcia; mother, Herlinda Garcia; daughter, Maria Lena Garcia; two sons, Jose Angel Garcia and Gabriel Omar Garcia, all of New Summerfield; two brothers, Federico Garcia of Troup and Manuel Garcia of Mansfield; three sisters, Jovita Hernandez of New Summerfield, Martha Moreno of Pearland and Juana Mendoza of New Summerfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Efrain Guerrero, Jose Juan Guerrero, Mereced Guerrero, Overlin Porra, Jaime Mendoza and Rafael Garcia. His brothers were honorary pallbearers.

Rosary was at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, New Summerfield. Arrangements were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.
