B.J. CARPENTER

 

Funeral for BJ Carpenter, 69, of Jacksonville, was at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Episcopal Church with Father Rob Godwin officiating.

Burial was in Still Waters Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville.

Mr. Carpenter died Dec. 12. He was born June 21, 1939, in Fort Worth.

Mr. Carpenter was self employed as a horse trainer and was a member of the American Hackney and Saddlebred Associations, Trinity Episcopal Church and a member of the Board of Directors of The Woods Country Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Cleo Carpenter.

Survivors are his brother Charles Carpenter of Fort Worth; and partner, Cowden Oliver of Jacksonville.

Pallbearers were Bill Childs, Bill Hooker, Joe Terrell and Jeff Austin Jr.

Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
