Conway Cemetery -. Central High Community, Alto, Texas, on the old Dallas Tidwell farm, formerly Conway, and originally the Carter Farm. Located on FM 851. This was copied 31 December 1970 by Mr. and Mrs. Whit Lanier and me. Only a person who knew where these graves were could have located them in the underbrush. Mr. Lanier remembered going to the last funeral, and that the coffin was carried down a cotton row.   NOTE: that was written nearly 13 ½ years ago - and the place would be harder to find today!     .

CONWAY, W. P. 3 Aug 1857 - 3 Jan 1911

CONWAY, E. L. 1 March 1887 - 9 Jan 1896, son of W. P. and M. E.

Mr. Lanier recalled - very well - that W. P. Conway was Pierce Conway because he once got a spanking for not pronouncing the name clear and plain enough to suit his father.
