REESE CEMETERY

The Reese Cemetery is located in the Reese community about 8 miles west of Jacksonville, Texas. It is on the south side of US Hwy 175. It is very well maintained and is easily accessed. With marked burials that began in 1919, it is not one of the earliest cemeteries in this area, but is still in use at this time. Rows are well defined and do contain a few empty spaces. Sections are numbered beginning at the east end of the cemetery as Section 1 continuing westward thru Section 9. Plot numbering for each section begins nearest the highway and where there are multiple rows in a section, the continuity in numbers for plots occurs at the south side of the cemetery. Section 9 contains 3 rows with plot numbers continuing from the eastern row to the most westward row and then continuing into the middle row of that section.” Cemetery information is current through September 28, 2016.
