New Birmingham Cemetery formerly Abandoned Cemetery is located on the east side of HWY 69 south of Rusk. It it right off CR 1102 on the East, just South of the TXDOT highway materials storage.. It is  an old cemetery in the woods. There are only 3 marked graves now. About 40 years ago there were from 25-30 marked graves. The photo on the left is a picture of the road going to the cemetery. The photo on the right is a view of the cemetery. If you look closely you can see one of the markers about two thirds of the way up, a little to the left.
