 Kimbrough-Tyler

The engagement and approaching marriage of Lauren Elizabeth Kimbrough and Scott Gary Tyler has been announced. The couple will be married Dec. 27 at Millard's Crossing chapel in Nacogdoches. Parents of the bride-elect are Mr. and Mrs. Ronald W. Kimbrough of Nacogdoches. Her grandmother is Nan Durham of Rusk. Mr. Tyler is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Tyler of Folsom, Calif.

 Wedding

Sarah Hoover of Henderson and Nathan Winship of Gallatin will be married at 2 p.m. Dec. 13 at First Baptist Church in Henderson. Miss Hoover is the daughter of Elizabeth and Tim Hoover of Henderson. Mr. Winship is the son of Nan and George Winship of Gallatin. She is a 2008 home school graduate and he is a 2003 home school graduate. He is owner of Pineywoods Gunshop LLC in Gallatin and is employed as a patrol officer with the City of Jacksonville.

 

 Wedding

Erin Rebecca O'Maine and Robert Madison (Matt) Vermillion will be married at 2 p.m. Dec. 20 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Miss O'Maine is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert O'Maine of Jacksonville and Mr. Vermillion is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond R. Vermillion of Rusk.

  Newman/ Daniels

Mr. and Mrs. Steve Daniel announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Brooke, to James Hayden Newman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Newman. Both are Rusk High School graduates. Miss Daniel is also a graduate of Texas A & M University, Class of 2007, and Mr. Newman is a 2004 graduate of Baylor University. The couple will be married Jan. 31, 2009.

  Brown-Evans wedding vows said at Church on the Hill

April Dawn Evans and James Edward Brown Jr. were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 at the First Church on the Hill. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Evans of Jacksonville and the groom is the son of James Brown Sr. of Rusk and Margie Fields of Pasadena.

The Rev. Jan Pate officiated for the double ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white strapless A-line ensemble decorated with silver thread and crystal accent beads. She carried a bouquet of royal blue, fushia and ivory roses.

Ralena Harris, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Jessie Pate was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Karen Ortiz, sister of the groom and Carissa Pate.

Rick Guzman was bestman. Groomsmen were Raul Ortiz Jr., brother-in-law of the groom, Keith Clements and Austin Evans, cousin of the bride.

Sarah Trawick, cousin of the bride, was flower girl, and Jason Harris, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Jasmine Harris, niece of the bride, was the miniature bride and Derek Ortiz, nephew of the groom, was the miniature groom.

Ushers were William Morrow and Steve Blanchard.

Megan Blanchard served at the registry table.

A reception was held at the People's Church recreation center in Jacksonville. Servers were Melissa Murphy, BriAnn Driver, Donna Drinkard, Candi Drinkard, Teresa Evans, Lana and Lindsey Durant.

Following a honeymoon in Roland, Ark., Mr. and Mrs. Brown are residing in Rusk.

  Butera-Youngblood vows said

Janice K. Youngblood and Michael N. Butera were united in marriage Dec. 6 in the River Oaks Baptist Church at Houston.

The bride is the daughter of Nickie and Glenda Youngblood of Cleveland and the groom is the son of Louis and Patricia Butera of South Houston.

The bride's sister, Cindy Crabtree of Conroe was matron of honor. Ava Arroyo, Missouri City served as flower girl. Bridesmaids were Amber Poole of Houston and Virginia Schmidt of College Station. Emily Holodnak of Friendswood was junior bridesmaid. Sherri Taylor of Friendswood served as the welcoming attendant.

Jeff Hampton of Dallas was best man. Groomsmen were the bride's brother, Jeff Youngblood of Houston and Rifi Newaz of Houston. Junior groomsman was Andrew Taylor of Friendswood. Ring bearer was Andrew Birdett of Pflugerville.

Ushers were John Gowin of Wellington, Jackie O'Gorman of Rusk and Bradley Hinson of Pearland.

Wedding music was provided by Kathleen Wilkins, organist/ pianist.

A reception at the church followed the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Butera will reside in Pearland.

The bride has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in horticulture degrees from Texas A&M University at College Station; Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, Texas A&M University. She is a graduate of Tarkington High School, Cleveland.

The groom has a JD degree from the University of Houston.

The bride's mother, Mrs. Youngblood, is originally from the Sardis community and maintains ties with family members in the area.

The bride lived with her grandmother, Geraldine Ford, in Sardis for several years while working at Powell Plant Farms in New Summerfield. Local family members of the bride are her grandmother, Geraldine Ford, and aunts. Betty Ann Gowin and Joyce Ruth Schochler of Sardis Community, and Susie Berry of Maydelle.
