  Shobert-Branton vows spoken

Brandy Rose Whitley Branton and Jonathan Bryan Shobert both of Jacksonville were united in marriage Nov. 16, 2007, at the Castle on the Lake in Jacksonville. Judge James Morris officiated the ceremony. The bride, escorted by her son Brandon Matthew Branton wore a Milano, white satin, chiffon gown with pink embroidery and rhinestone beadings. She also wore a sheer veil and a tiara.

The bride is the daughter of George Trahan of Jacksonville and the late Jeanette Whitley. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Trahan of Jacksonville and the late Lottie and Aaron Varner. The groom is the son of J.R. and Betty Shobert, of Jacksonville and the grandson of the late J.B. and Eva Honeycutt and the late Tom and Frankie Francis Shobert.

Maid of honor was Rebecca Walston of Jacksonville and matron of honor was Tonya Gage of Jacksonville. Bridesmaids were Amy Walston and Sarah Walston both of Jacksonville, and Carla Varner of Berryville. Best man was James Hampton of Athens and groomsmen were Jesse Maberry of Bullard, Lex Moses of Gresham, James Hogg of Jacksonville and Paul Allen of Linville. Flower girl was Summer Cheyenne Branton of Jacksonville and ring bearer was Elijah Lee Branton of Jacksonville

Following a wedding trip to San Antonio Mr. and Mrs. Shobert are at home in Jacksonville.

  BOOTH-HUME

 Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Booth announce their marriage on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2007, at the VFW Hall in Rusk. The bride and groom, Christen Rebecca Hume and Jeremiah David Booth both of Rusk, exchanged vows before Judge Brenda Dominy. Parents of the bride are Royce and Ruth Ann Hume of Rusk. The groom's parents are Terry and Cathy Booth of Palestine. Both Mr. and Mrs. Booth are Rusk High School graduates and they will reside in Rusk.

  Whitehead-Goff

 The engagement of Miranda Whitehead and Bobby Goff Jr. has been announced. Miss Whitehead is the daughter of Brenda and Randel Whitehead of Jacksonville. Mr. Goff is the son of Sandra and Bobby Goff of Rusk. The couple will be married June 28 at Central Baptist Church with a reception following at The Woods in Jacksonville.

  Engagement Told

 The engagement of Britteny Nicole Johnson and David Clay McIntyre has been announced. Miss Johnson is the daughter of Diane Johnson and the late Tom Johnson. Her step-father is Duane Dominy. Mr. McIntyre is the son of Rhonda and Denny McInyre. The wedding will be Feb. 23 at First Church of the Hill.

  SMITH - HULSTINE

 

Mike and Pennie Smith of Jacksonville announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter Maggie Lee, to Joshua Michael Hulstine. Miss Smith is the granddaughter of Minnie Roberts and Madeline Smith of Jacksonville. Mr. Hulstine is the son of Kathy Hulstine and Johnny Hulstine of Jacksonville. He is the grandson of Danny and Judy Wilson of Jacksonville and John and Sharon Hulstine of Rusk. Both are Jacksonville High School graduates. The wedding is set for March 29 at Beall Chapel Baptist Church with a reception to follow at the Castle on the Lake.

 

   HYDE- EMERSON

 

Catie and Emily Tompkins of Rusk announce the engagement of their mother, Terri  Jeanette Hyde to Tony Edward Emerson of Rusk. Ms. Hyde is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Gault Sr. of Rusk. Mr. Emerson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bob Moore of Cushing and Johnny Emerson of Rusk. The couple will be married Saturday, March 8, in Cushing.

 Halbert-McFarland

 Col. and Mrs. Gary Halbert of Springfield, Va. announce the engagement of their daughter, Taylor Brooke, to Andrew Justin McFarland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy McFarland of Woodstock, Va. Miss Halbert is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.P. Halbert of Rusk, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Allison of Huntington and the late John Bill Slover. She is a 2007 Duke University graduate and will continue her education at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. Mr. McFarland, a 2006 Duke University graduate, will continue his education at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. They will marry June 7 at the Duke University Chapel in Durham, N.C.

 

  Lankford-Grimes

 The children of Cherry Lankford and Phillip Grimes announce the approaching marriage of their parents. Dakota Grimes and Lauren and Gauge Lankford invite family, close friends and church family to the wedding at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 at Branded by Christ Cowboy Church in Rusk.
