June 3, 2007

Huddleston, Valladares wed

Jody Lynn Huddleston and Santos Reymundo Valladares wed at 2 p.m. on June 2, 2007 at Calvary Baptist Church.  A reception followed in Fellowship Hall.  Jody was born in Colombia South America and became a citizen of the United States when she was nine years old.  Santos was born in Honduras and came to the United States approximately eight years ago when a hurricane destroyed his town. After a brief honeymoon in East Texas, the newlyweds will reside in Tyler.  Jody is a Registered Nurse and will be working at ETMC in Tyler.  Santos is in construction. 

Knous, Herron to exchange vows

Kenny and Melissa Knous of Jacksonville are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Callie Anne Knous of Jacksonville to Jeremy Mark Herron of College Station, son of Dr. Richard and Marsha Herron of College Station. Callie graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2004 and will graduate from the University of North Texas, Denton in Dec. with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Jeremy graduated from Texas A&M Consolidated High School in College Station and will graduate from the University of North Texas, Denton in Dec. with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at The Chapel at Teaberry Farm in Jacksonville.
 

      

Adams, Kirkpatrick to marry

Kelly and Karen Adams of Jacksonville are proud to announce the engagement of their son, Matthew Kyle Adams of Jacksonville to Lori Lynn Kirkpatrick of Tyler, daughter of Joe and Robin Kirkpatrick of Eustace, Texas. Kyle graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2002 and attended Tyler Junior College. He is employed with Lowes Home Improvement. Lori graduated from Eustace High School in 2000 and Tyler Junior College in 2005. She is pursuing a communication’s degree at the University of Texas, Tyler. She is employed with Allmark Property Management. The couple will exchange vows on Sept. 22, 2007 at Eagle Bluff Country Club in Bullard.

Pansy King of Rusk and Clifford Simmons of Jacksonville were married at 8 p.m., June 8 at Oakland Missionary Baptist Church. R.S. Dyess officiated the ceremony. Pansy works for Jordan Health Services and Clifford works for PHC.

Vaught, Dobrovolny to wed

Kristi Vaught of Rusk and Frank Dobrovolny of Smetana are excited to announce their engagement. Kristi is the daughter of Carolyn Turner of Rusk and the late George Coody of Waco.  Kristi is a graduate of Moody High School and attended Stephen F. Austin State University.  Kristi is the proud mother of daughters, Karli and Emily.  Kristi is currently employed at the Cherokee County Attorney's Office in Rusk. Frank is the son of Janet and Antone Dobrovolny of Smetana.  Frank is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a graduate of Texas A&M University, a graduate of South Texas College of Law, and recently became a licensed attorney.  Frank is practicing law predominantly in Cherokee County and has a new office in Jacksonville. The couple will marry on June 23, 2007 in Jacksonville. They will reside in Rusk.

Bell, White marry

Jackie Bell and Junior White were united in marriage at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 2 at Castle on the Lake in Jacksonville. Jackie is the daughter of Jimmy and Vivian Hawkins and Jeanine Sparks. Junior is the son of Bruce and Sybil White. Robert Carter officiated the double ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by Jimmy Hawkins. Maid of honor was Jennifer Sparks. Bridesmaids were Gina Pridgen, Jill Brownlee and Amber Brown. Flower girls were Jayla Bell, Shelby Cumbie and Katlynn Magallan. Ring bearer was Dominic White. Groomsmen were Ben Grimes, Von Dawson, Brian Hesterley, Garrett Glidewell and Marc Sparks. The reception took place at Castle on the Lake in Jacksonville. The couple will reside in Arp.



Newland, Covey wed

Halli Tyanne Newland and Randall Ray Covey both of Jacksonville were married Saturday, June 16 at Bullard Southern Baptist Church in Bullard. The ceremony was officiated by Todd Thoene of Bullard. The bride is the daughter of Carolyn Newland of Lufkin and the late Jeff Newland. Halli is a graduate of Bullard High School and is employed with Southwestern Abstract. The bridegroom is the son of Sammy Covey Sr. of Gilmer and Carolyn Covey of Jacksonville. Randall is a graduate of Jacksonville High School and is a safety inspector for the state of Texas. Matron of honor was Melissa Hendrick of Troup. Best man was Sammy Covey Jr. of Kingwood. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Bennett of Tyler and Michelle Carnes of Van. Groomsmen were Wayne McAnally of Jacksonville and Dustin Dudley of Jacksonville. Junior bridesmaids were Hadley and Autumn Wiggins of Jacksonville. Flower girls were Tatum Wiggins and Scarlette Covey of Jacksonville. The couple will reside in Jacksonville.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kendrick of Nacogdoches announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Kay, to Clifton James Tierney of Bandera, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Tierney of Bandera. The wedding will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Grace Bible Church in Nacogdoches with the bride's grandfather, the Rev. Gene Kendrick officiating. Both the bride and groom are Stephen F. Austin State University graduates.

Amy Elizabeth McMillen of Blackjack and Brian Lee Jay of Little Elm are proud to announce their engagement. Amy is the daughter of George and Judy McKinney of Blackjack and the late Duncan McMillen. Brian is the son of Larry and Peggy Jay of Goessel, Kansas. Amy graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1993 and Texas A&M University with a Master’s degree in business administration in 1998. She is currently employed with McKinney and Moore in Jacksonville. Brian graduated from Goessel High School in 1996 and Pittsburg State University with a bachelors degree in Automotive Technology in 2000. He is currently employed with Ford Motor Company in Lewisville. The couple will wed Oct. 6, 2007 at Castle on the Lake in Jacksonville.



Inman, Martin to wed

Mr. and Mrs. James B. Inman of Chriesman are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica Cade Inman of Chriesman to Matthew John Martin of Bullard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rob B. Martin of Bullard. Jessica is a 1999 graduate of Pleasanton High School in Pleasanton. She received a B.S. in kinesiology in 2006 with a minor in outdoor education and teacher certification in science composite from Texas A&M University in College Station. She is employed with Bellville ISD in Bellville as a Biology teacher and volleyball coach. Matthew is a 2001 graduate of Bullard High School. He received a B.S. in kinesiology and outdoor education in 2006 from Texas A&M University in College Station. He is attending Texas DPS Training Academy in Austin and expects to graduate in Sept. 2007. The couple will wed at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 at Madison Square Presbyterian Church in San Antonio.

The engagement of Melissa Kay Gresham and Stacey Glenn King has been announced. Ms. Gresham is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Gresham Sr. of Nacogdoches. Mr. King is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard King of Rusk and Pansy and Clifford Simmons of Jacksonville. The couple will be married at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at the downtown gazebo in Nacogdoches.
