Tierney-Kendrick vows spoken at Nacogdoches

Lauren Kay Kendrick of Nacogdoches and Clifton James Tierney of Bandera were married at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Grace Bible Church in Nacogdoches. The Rev. Gene Kendrick of Conroe, the bride's grandfather, officiated. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kendrick of Nacogdoches and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Tierney of Bandera.

Weldon and Ruth Pringle are the bride's grandparents.

Matron of honor was Emilie O'Rear of Shelbyville. Bridesmaids were the bride's cousins, Kyla Hutchison and Kara Mc- Cuistion, both of Dallas, and Emily Kendrick of Conroe. Flower girls were the bride's cousins, Alyssa Duplichain of Alto and Bethany Kendrick of Conroe.

Best man was the groom's brother, Ryan Tierney, of Bandera. Groomsmen were Matt Stone of San Antonio; the bride's brother, Eric Kendrick of Nacogdoches; and the groom's cousin, Michael Bajec of San Antonio. Ring bearer was the bride's cousin, Garrett Duplichain of Alto, and the Bible bearer was the bride's cousin, Camden Hedges of Conroe. Ushers were Josh Tyler of Nacogdoches and the bride's cousin, Brian Kendrick of Conroe.

The bride and groom along with the wedding party were carried by limousine from the church to the reception held at the Fredonia Hotel.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Central Heights High School and a 2007 graduate of SFA with a BSIS degree in elementary education. She has accepted a position at Alkek Elementary School as a fourthgrade teacher.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Bandera High school and a 2006 graduate of SFA with a BS degree in education.

He will be the head soccer coach and will teach world history for the Bandera school district.

Following a week-long Caribbean cruise to Jamaica, the Grand Cayman Islands and Cozumel, the couple will make their home in the San Antonio area.

Watkins/McCullough

Mr. and Mrs. Tracey Herring of Jacksonville and Mr. Glenn Watkins of Texarkana are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Lynn Watkins to Justin Michael McCullough, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mick Schmitt of Jacksonville and Mr. and Mrs. Tim McCullough of Whitehouse. Amber graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2004 and attended Tyler Junior College. She is employed at East Texas Medical Center in Jacksonville. Justin graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2004. He attended Jacksonville Baptist College. He is employed with McCown Surveying of Jacksonville. The wedding is planned for Oct. 27, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.


   Sheffield/Dumas

Richard Braden Sheffield and Crystal Rae Dumas announce their upcoming marriage on Sept. 29, 2007. The ceremony will be at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Dallas. Richard is the son of Brad Sheffield of Houston and Physician Mariagrazia Marzano Sheffield of Fort Worth. He is the grandson of Dick and Betty Sheffield of Jacksonville and Theresa Marzano of Matera, Italy. The groom is a 1999 graduate of Jacksonville High School. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in mechanical engineering. He currently works for Raytheon in McKinney as a manufacturing engineer and is pursueing a master of science in engineering management at Southern Methodist University. Crystal is the daughter of Clyde and Barbara Dumas of Whitney. She graduated from Whitney High School in 2003. She graduated magna cum laude from Texas Women’s University in Denton. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Parkland hospital in Dallas as a rotational program in the Intensive Care units and emergency room. Following a brief wedding trip the couple will reside in Allen.


  Edge/Franklin

Ashley Edge, daughter of Eddie and Peggy Edge of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Shawn Franklin, son of Tony and Deborah Kennedy of Stanton, Texas are pleased to announce their engagement. Ashley is a 1999 graduate of Jacksonville High School and 2003 graduate of Texas Christian University.  She is a nurse and works as a Transplant Coordinator for Baylor All Saints Medical Center. Shawn is a 1999 graduate of Stanton High School and 2004 graduate of Texas Christian University.  He is an Account Executive for Starr Tincup in Fort Worth. The couple plans a September 1 wedding at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Katy Marie Massingill and John Richard Geren were married Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Eagle’s Bluff Country Club in Bullard. Katy is the daughter of Richard and Sarabeth Massingill. Michael is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Monte Geren. Rev. Mike Bradford officiated the double ring ceremony. Musicians were Colore Ensemble. The bride was given in marriage by her father Richard Massingill. Maid of honor was Kristen Ross. Bridesmaids were Alyssa Massingill, Tori Gresham, Lauren Johnson and Sarah Martin. Flowergirl was Macy Jane Woodruff. Ringbearer was Bryce Bennett. Best man was Brian Abbott. Groomsmen are Matt Houchin, Matt Rosenbalm, Jason Roan and Chris Gibson. Ushers were Ryan Massingill, Tony Massingill and Andy Massingill. The wedding party included Katie Cheadle, Amber Malone, Emmy Walley and Lori Walley. The reception was held at Eagle’s Bluff following the wedding. Katy graduated from Rusk High School and Tyler Junior College. Michael graduated from Community High School and Texas A&M University. The couple took a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii. They will reside in Evanston, Wyoming.

Jessica Cade Inman of Chriesman and Matthew John Martin of Bullard were married at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 at Madison Square Presbyterian Church in San Antonio. Rev. Dr. Iline Dunn officiated the double ring ceremony. A reception followed at Beethoven Maennerchor Halle in San Antonio. Jessica is the daughter of James and Caressa Inman of Chriesman and the granddaughter of Bernadette Speckman of Chriesman, the late Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Inman and the late Joyce Speckman. Matthew is the son of Rob and Karen Martin of Bullard and the grandson of George and Pat Martin of Bullard, Paul C. Carl of Bossier City and the late Doris A. Carl. Matron of honor was the bride’s sister Caressa Vajdos of New Braunfels. Maids of honor were Jennie Morgan of Ft. Worth and Carlee Klattenhoff of Miles. Bridesmaids were Katie Speckman of New Braunfels, Angela Wolden of Garland, Yvette Villanueva of New Braunfels, Summer Schubert of Stockton, California and sister of the groom Rebekah Martin of Chandler, Arizona. Best man was brother of the groom Jacob Martin of Bullard. Groomsmen were Weston Amaya of Conroe, Josh Jones of Pasadena, brother of the groom Joshua Martin of Bullard, Blake Marion of Bullard, brother-in-law of the bride Brian Vajdos of New Braunfels, David Pellizzari of Bowie and Burton Speckman of College Station. The bride chose a formal ivory strapless gown with an almond long sash on a chapel length train. She wore a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of mini burgundy calla lilies. The bridesmaids wore an expresso colored two-piece dress and carried ivory roses. The groom wore a traditional Doni B. black 3-button tux with an ivory vest. The groomsmen/ushers also wore a Doni B. black 3-button tux with complimenting black vest. The bride is a 1999 graduate of Pleasanton High School in Pleasanton. She graduated from Texas A&M in 2006 with a B.S. in kinesiology, a minor in outdoor education and teacher certification in science composite. She is employed with Bellville ISD in Bellville as a biology teacher and volleyball coach. The groom is a 2001 graduate of Bullard High School. He graduated from Texas A&M in 2006 with a B.S. in kinesiology and outdoor education. He is currently attending Texas DPS Training Academy, trooper training in Austin and expects to graduate in April 2008. The couple took a wedding trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The couple will reside in Bellville.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert (David) Hale announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Donna Marie, to Ricky Lee Rogers, son of Angela Gunter of Rusk. The couple will be married at 3 p.m. Saturday Aug. 25 at the First Church on the Hill. Friends and family are invited to attend.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Massingill of Rusk. The groom's parents are Dr. and Mrs. Monte Geren of Whitney.

The Rev. Mike Bradford officiated for the double ring ceremony. Richard Massingill gave his daughter in marriage.

Maid of honor was Kristen Ross of Rusk. Bridesmaids were Alyssa Massingill of Lufkin, cousin of the bride, and Tori Gresham, Lauren Johnson and Sarah Martin all of Rusk. Emily Massingill, cousin of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. Flower girl was Macy Jane Woodruff of Rusk. Ringbearer was Bryce Bennet of Allen, nephew of the groom. Bestman was Brian Abbott of Dallas. Groomsmen were Matt Houchin of Quinlan, Matt Rosenbalm of McKinney, Jason Roan of Nevada and Chris Gibson of Erick, Okla. Ushers were Ryan Massingill, of Rusk, brother of the bride and Tony Massingill of Tyler and Andy Massingill of Lufkin, the bride's cousins.

The bride is a graduate of Rusk High School and Tyler Junior College. The groom is a graduate of Community High School and Texas A&M University.

He is employed with Renewable Energy Systems of Austin.

The couple honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii and will reside in Evanston, Wyo.
