Hymer, Edwards plan wedding

Mr. Gaylon Davis and Mrs. Helen Davis, of Gallatin, are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Rhonda Edwards of Bullard, to Mr. Dusty Hymer of Bullard. Mr. Hymer is the son of Sam Hymer of Flint and Sue and Sterling Moeller of Sherman.

The couple will be married June 10 at Love’s Lookout.

Carroll, McGee engaged to marry

Mr. and Mrs. Richard McGee of Jacksonville announce the engagement and approaching wedding of their daughter Karissa Noelle McGee to Kamron Clay Carroll, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Carroll of Neches and Mr. and Mrs. Terry Jones of Palestine. Their wedding will be held July 6, 2006 in a private ceremony following the groom’s return from Iraq.

Cates, Williamson plan wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Marland Lee Williamson of San Marcos, formerly of Clear Lake (Houston area), are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Heather Shae Williamson, of Texas City, to Mr. Daniel Toole Cates of Santa Fe, Texas. Miss Williamson is the daughter of the late Harriet Elaine Schnautz Williamson of Clear Lake, formerly of Uhland, Texas. Miss Williamson is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Williamson of San Marcos. Mr. Cates is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bradley Cates of the Cold Springs community, west of Alto, and the grandson of the late John Early Cates and Mary Vera Dominy Cates.

The couple will be married June 9 on a beach at a resort on the East Caribbean Island of St. Lucia, formerly a British possession, located off the coast of Venezuela, South America.

The couple will be honored by their parents with a luncheon and wedding reception July 16, 2006, at the home of the groom’s parents. The newlyweds will be honored with wedding showers in Texas City and the Houston-Conroe area.

Mr. Cates graduated with honors from Alto High School in 1989 and from Texas A&M University, College Station, and from The University of Texas at Tyler in Genetics, Biochemistry and Medical Technology. Miss Williamson is a 1993 graduate of Clear Lake High School and a 2003 graduate with honor from San Jacinto College, Pasadena, Texas, with a certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CAN), phlebotomist, and Medical Lab Technologist (MLT).

Mr. Cates is an MT in the medical laboratory at Mainland Hospital in Texas City. Miss Williamson is a MLT in the medical laboratory at Mainland Hospital in Texas City.

The couple will make their home in Texas City.
