McDaniel unite in marriage
Lindsey M'Liss Thomason and Fred Travis McDaniel were united in marriage
at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at The Ranch at Seven Mile Hill in
Tyler. The Reverend Don Spradling officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Sandra Thomason, of Jacksonville and the
granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Thomason of Jacksonville. The groom is
the son of Cindy and George Staton of Flint and the grandson of Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Lowery of Jacksonville.
Matron of honor was Brandi Black Daugherty of Doyline, La., and maid of
honor was Ashley Whorton of Austin. Bridesmaids were Abby Frank of
Bellville, Jill Staton Boone of Katy, sister of the groom, Maribeth
White of Rowlett, sister of the groom, Laura Nesselhauf of Austin,
cousin of the bride; and Jill ‘Detcheverry of Houston, cousin of the
groom. Flower girls were Brianna Dallas of Jacksonville, cousin of the
bride; and Daisy Thomason of Jacksonville, cousin of the bride.
Jonathan Reynolds, Joshua Jones, of Jacksonville, cousins of the bride,
Wade and Kyle McKnight of Jacksonville, cousins of the groom and Paul
Vega of San Antonio, served as ushers. Bryce McDaniel of Jacksonville,
brother of the groom and Lukas Thomason of Jacksonville, brother of the
bride were the best men. Groomsmen were Jake Fox of Katy, Foster Carter
of Jacksonville, Chris Boone of Katy, brother-in-law of the groom, Greg
D'Etcheverry of Houston, cousin of the groom, Dirk Grassman of Houston
and Kannon Hood of Jacksonville.
Little Sweethearts and Escorts were Abby Elizabeth McDaniel, Kellyn
White, Maddie McDaniel, Kassidy White, Callie D’Etcheverry, Jessica
Jones, Emily Jones, Tyler Daugherty, Zachary Thomason and Nicholas
Thomason.
The ceremony began with a prelude of traditional wedding songs played by
harpist, Lori Smith and Sue Bragg, flutist. Tanner Field of College
Station, followed by singing Ava Maria after the mothers and
grandmothers were seated. The groomsmen and bridesmaids walked down the
aisle two-by-two while the duo played Canon in D.
The bride arrived at the light embellished tent in a white limousine.
She was escorted down the aisle to Trumpet Voluntary and given in
marriage by her grandfather, Max Thomason.
The bride wore a formal gown by Mon Cheri featuring an exclusive vintage
lace pattern. The curved halter strapped neckline and modified A-line
skirt were finished with lace heavily beaded with Swarivski crystals and
the beaded lace encircled the chapel length train. A satin ribbon
waistband was held in a cross-over bow with a vintage broach. She
carried a bouquet of fall colored circus roses accented with gold calla
lilies.
The antique altar was adorned with an arch of flowers, greenery and
lanterns along the platform with live ficus trees and plants.
After the exchange of vows, Tanner Field sang The Lord’s Prayer and the
couple was pronounced husband and wife.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at Le Potager
with entertainment by Boogie Butt Productions. The tables were covered
with table cloths in fall colors and centerpieces of lanterns and fall
flowers. The bride’s cake sat on top of an elaborate silver stand and
was six tiers of alternating white and strawberry cake with butter cream
icing and iridescent fondant accents. Adornments included circus roses,
hydrangea, callalillies, and green berries, all mixed with gold ribbon.
The couple’s silver and crystal initials topped the cake along with an
antique broach. The groom’s cake was a four tiered triangle with
alternating fudge chocolate and butter cake with milk chocolate icing
adorned with fudge fondant diamonds and a cascade of chocolate covered
strawberries. Both cakes were custom designed for the couple by Designs
by D’Anne.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the grooms parents, was held at Le
Potager with a Mexican Fiesta theme and live entertainment by “Mariachi
de Oro” from Fort Worth. The day of the wedding, the bride hosted a
brunch at Larissa House to honor her bridesmaids, while the groom hosted
a bowling party and lunch to honor his groomsmen.
Lindsey is a 2003 graduate of Texas State University with a BBA in
finance and a 1999 graduate from Jacksonville High School. She is an
employee of Austin Bank, Jacksonville. Fred graduated from Sam Houston
State University in 2000 with a BBA in business and is a 1993 graduate
of Jacksonville High School and is employed by Texas National Bank,
Jacksonville.
The couple is residing with their daughter, Abby, in Jacksonville.
Buchanan, Bradley
wed
Alexana Victoria Buchanan, daughter of Tom and Cindy Buchanan of Lubbock
and granddaughter of Truman and Lucille Golemon of Jacksonville, and
William Kyle Bradley, son of Vickie and James Holman of Amarillo and
Bill Bradley of Lindsay, Okla. were married at 7:27 p.m., Dec. 1, 2006,
at the Reese Conference Center in Lubbock, with Pastor Paul Jantzen
officiating the double-ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, Tom Buchanan, the bride wore a handmade
gown by G Whitley of Lubbock, featuring a mocha silk satin bustier with
fitted skirt, overlaid with Alencon lace with flared bottom and a sweep
train, along with a full-length pale gold veil with waist-length blusher
and crystal embellishments.
The bride’s mother, Cindy Buchanan, served as honorary matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kristen Bonner, Kayla Duncan, Dinah Harriger, Stefanie
Williams and Sarah Zouzalik, all of Lubbock. Also, Emily Fessler of
Auburn, Ala., Aaron Fullingim of Avon, Colo.; and Chanee Reed of College
Station. Best man was Dylan Holman, brother of the groom of Amarillo.
Groomsmen were Logan Bennett of Ohakune, New Zealand, Nate Lyles of
Crested Butte, Colo., Dawson Neal and Michael Smith both of Red River,
N.M.; Beau McDowell of Canyon, Chris Upchurch of Amarillo and David
Firenza of Lubbock.
Ushers were Matt, Blake and Zac Buchanan, brothers of the bride; Nathan
Anz of College Station; and Eric Haley and Matt Gaines, both of Lubbock.
Musicians were Andy Shakespeare, childhood friend (vocal and acoustic
guitar) and Trent Tibbit on piano. A reception was held at Reese
Conference Center immediately following the ceremony.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Texas Tech University.
After a wedding trip on a Caribbean cruise, the couple will reside in
Mammoth, Calif.

Blakely, Daugherty engaged to marry
Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Blakely, Jr. of Dallas are pleased to announce the
engagement of their daughter Carrie Jean Blakely to Nick Daugherty, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Daugherty of Irving.
Carrie is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jean Bearden of Jacksonville. A
March 3, 2007 wedding is planned.
