Atoy Cemeteries Assn. meets April 12, 2007
The annual meeting of the Atoy Cemeteries Association will
be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, in the Atoy Cemetery chapel. Those
attending are asked to bring a basket lunch and enjoy the fellowship. Cemetery
dues may be made payable to Atoy Cemeteries Association, in care of Billy W.
Sessions 734 CR 2807, Alto 75925.
Earle’s Chapel (June 2006)
homecoming this Sunday
Earle’s Chapel United Methodist Church will hold its Homecoming Memorial Service
on Sunday. The Memorial Service begins at 11 a.m. with former pastor Rev. Steven
Newcomb preaching. Everyone is invited to bring a basket lunch to share
following the service. The Earle’s Chapel Cemetery Association annual meeting
begins at 1:15 p.m. Earle’s Chapel is one of the oldest churches in Cherokee
County, established as a community church in 1859 and as a United Methodist
Church in 1875. The present building was erected in 1889 and remains very close
to the original chapel design of its builders. The church is located on US 79
South, about 3.5 miles west of Jacksonville. Turn north at the Historical Marker
sign. The Rev. Dale Jamerson is pastor.
Gossett’s Chapel Cemetery Association
The annual meeting of Gossett’s Chapel Cemetery Association will be held at 10
a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Gossett’s Chapel church building, 1815
Elberta St., Jacksonville. Those who have loved ones interred at the cemetery

Hendricks
slate reunion is June 28, 2008
The Hendrick family reunion will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at the Campground Baptist Church, approximately four miles west of Alto on Highway 294. A covered dish luncheon will be served at noon. The annual business meeting will follow. James Hendrick will be in charge of the business meeting. Cemetery dues are $20 per year. Jarratt Cemetery Annual
Jarratt Cemetery Memorial Service and business meeting set.
The annual memorial service and business meeting of the Jarratt Cemetery Association will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Jarratt Cemetery. Registration of members and guests begins at 10 a.m.
The memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. and the business meeting and election of officers will follow. Lunch will be held at noon under the pavilion.
The cemetery is located on FM 22 approximately 1.25 miles east of Craft.
Lynches Chapel Cemetery
Homecoming is June 2, 2007
The Lynches Chapel community homecoming will be Sunday, June 2, at the Edith Hendrick pavilion at the Lynches Chapel United Methodist Church. The program will begin at 10:45 a.m. and dinner will be served under the pavilion. The event is sponsored by the Lynches Chapel Cemetery Association.
Cemetery dues are $10 and can be mailed to the Lynches Chapel Cemetery Association, in care of Mary Reed, 194 CR 2321, Rusk 75785.
Shiloh slates memorial
service May 20, 2007
The annual Shiloh Memorial Day service will be held Sunday, May 20. The homecoming celebration will be at the Shiloh Pavilion two miles west of Alto on FM 752. Those attending are asked to bring a lunch. There will be a brief business meeting immediately before lunch.
