Bob Rook HUGHES SPRINGS — Bob Rook, 62, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2004, at 5:12 p.m. at TRMC. He was a resident of Omaha, having been born in Elysian Fields on Aug. 10, 1941. He was a Christian and the eldest son of J.D. and Laura Rook. Surviving him are his wife, Jeannie; son Steve Rook of Mount Pleasant; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dayne Nichols of Mount Pleasant; daughter Lin Cline of Mount Pleasant; his granddaughters, Ashley Rook of Gladewater, Alyson and Miranda Nichols of Mount Pleasant and Kaitlyn Wilson of Mount Pleasant. Also surviving are his mother, Laura Rook, and sister, Mary Kendrick, of Elysian Fields; three brothers and sisters- in-law, Jerry and Kay Rook of Omaha, Richard and JoAnn Rook and Jimmy and Karla Rook, all of Waskom; and numerous nieces and nephews. His father, J.D. Rook of Elysian Fields, preceded him in death. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004, at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Brother John Gutierrez officiating. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today, July 14, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Memorials may be made to Cypress Basin Hospice or theAmerican Cancer Society.
