FANNIE RODGERS HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Fannie Lou Boyd Rodgers, 83, of Daingerfield, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, in a Mount Pleasant, Texas, hospital. Mrs. Rodgers was born July 28, 1920, in Morris County, Texas. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Jones of Marietta, Calif.; four stepsons, Nathaniel N. Rodgers of Atlanta, Ga., Frederick Rodgers of Miami and Ertis Rodgers and Mederick Rodgers of Dallas; one stepdaughter, Mildred Townsy of Dallas; one brother, DeWitt Jones of Naples, Texas; two sisters, Nona Ruth Barber of Daingerfield and Charlene Johnson of Naples; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Zion C.M.E. with the Rev. Jane Nickleberry officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Naples, under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
