HOWARD ORMES

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Howard Ormes, 80, of Lone Star, Texas, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, 
in a Longview hospital.

Mr. Ormes was born Oct. 13, 1923, in James, Texas. He was retired from Lone Star Steel and a World 
War II Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Ormes of Lone Star; two sons, Ronnie Dale Ormes and Gary Eugene 
Ormes of Diana, Texas; five daughters, Gwen Wright and Linda Russell of Diana, Sharon Beasley of 
Daingerfield, Texas, Vickie Smith of Ore City, Texas, and Karen Barnard of Lone Star; one sister, 
Wilma Smith of Deer Park, Texas; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of other 
relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Perry Crisp and 
Melvin Rowland officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
