MERLE LONON

LINDEN, Texas-Merle Fant Lonon, 89, of Linden died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Lonon was born Jan. 29, 1915, in Jefferson, Texas. She was an office manager for Lakeview Church 
Encampment, Palestine, Texas, a member of Linden United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars 
Ladies Auxiliary and a World War II Army Air Force veteran. She was preceded in death by her husband, John 
Oliver Lonon.

Survivors include one brother, James P. Fant of Linden; one sister, Mary Preston of Jefferson; and a number of 
nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark McClanahan officiating. 
Burial will be in Linden Cemetery.
