David Joe "Doby" Jackson

HUGHES SPRINGS - Services for David "Doby" Joe Jackson, 50, of Avinger, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Reeder-Davis Chapel, with Bro. Kurt Hill and Bishop Donald Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in Mims Chapel Cemetery in Avinger. Mr. Jackson died June 4, 2010, at his residence.

Born October 24, 1959, in Lone Star, he was known for his giving personality and had a passion for the outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Jamette Jackson; mother, Mary Ann Jackson; brothers, Dennis, Danny and Brian Jackson; and sister, Julia Baird. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at the funeral home.
