BILLY IVORY HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Billy D. Ivory, 58, of Marietta, Texas, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at his home. Mr. Ivory was born Oct. 9, 1946, in Morris County, Texas. He was a machinist, a member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jean Ivory of Marietta; three sons, Billy Ivory Jr. of Longview, Texas, Gregory A. Ivory of Hughes Springs and Graylon Ivory of Naples, Texas; one daughter, Parenthia M. Cooper of Marietta; two brothers, the Rev. Sammie D. Ivory Jr. of Tyler, Texas, and James C. Ivory of Omaha, Texas; four sisters, Sallie Buford, Dianne Malone and Carolyn Jones of Naples and LaTwane Saunders of Mount Pleasant, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Williams Chapel Baptist Church, Naples, with the Rev. Sammie D. Ivory officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. The body may be viewed today at the funeral home.
