ALFRED HUMPHREY

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Alfred L. Humphrey Sr., 86, of Hughes Springs died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004.

Mr. Humphrey was born Dec. 15, 1917, in Hughes Springs. He was retired from Southern Pacific Railroad, 
a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by 
his wife, Janice Humphrey.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Al and Regina Humphrey of Arlington, Texas, and Robert 
and Carol Humphrey of Plano, Texas; three sisters, Idelia Lawerence of Talahoma, Tenn., Vallie Leach of 
Longview, Texas, and Oreta Smith of Mineola, Texas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a 
number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Hughes Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Neeley officiating. 
Arrangements are under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home
