Gerald Leslie Hooper ODESSA — Gerald Leslie Hooper, 84, of Odessa passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at the Veterans Home in Big Spring. He was born April 10, 1918, in Cass County, Texas. He was a long-time resident of Odessa and was transportation supervisor for CSI, retiring in 1982. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loraine Hooper in 1980; parents, Samuel and Earl Hooper; and brothers and sisters, Willard Hooper, DeLois Harper, Boyce Hooper, S.L. Hooper; and Opel Lee Vancil. He is survived by sons, Jerry Hooper and wife Debbie of Clyde and Steve Hooper of Odessa; daughters, LaDonna Raglin and husband Jerry of Odessa and Kathy Hawk and husband Endgate of Clyde; brother, Don Hooper of Odessa; sister, Justine Bailey of Sundown; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Jeffrey and Rusty Thomas, Dustin, Brandon and Luke Hawk, Jerry Don Hooper and Casey Hooper. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 25, 2002, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
