JACK FITE

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-Jack Rustin Fite, 79, of Hughes Springs died Monday, Oct. 13, in a Linden, 
Texas, hospital.

Mr. Fite was born June 24, 1924. He was a meteorologist for the National Weather service, a member 
of Hughes Springs Lion's Club, The American Legion, 42 Club and a World War II Navy veteran. He was 
preceded in death by one infant son.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnyrea Fite of Hughes Springs; two sons and one daughter-in-law, J. Russ 
Fite Jr. of Hughes Springs and W. Gregg and Michelle Fite of Corpus Christi, Texas; one daughter, Gay 
Beth Fite of Los Angeles; one grandson, Cory Rustin Fite of Corpus Christi; two sisters-in-law, Gladine 
Fite of Dallas and Mary Joyce Welch of Hughes Springs; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Linden First Baptist Church with the Rev. Don. Phelps officiating. 
Burial will be in Hughes Springs Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
